ADDING POLICY EVENTS TO INDIVIDUAL POLICIES

Adding a policy event notification such as an annual review and policy anniversary can help retain important client relationships.

  • Search for a policy in the Global Search 

  • Search for a policy under the Life Policies link

  • From the Policy Owner profile, Policy overview, click on Add Notification

  • Set the notification for a certain date, OR

  • Set the notification any number of days before the policy anniversary date

Policy Event Management

Policy Event tracking and notifications make it easy for users to set reminders regarding policy events such as policy anniversaries or client meetings.

ADDING POLICY EVENTS TO POLICY LISTS

Adding policy event notifications to lists of policies makes it easy to manage large segments of the book.

  • After you have segmented your policies into meaningful lists, click on the Lists link and find the list you would like to set the notification for

  • Using the kebab menu under the Actions column (on the far right) click on Add Notifications

  • Set the notification for a certain date, OR

  • Set the notification any number of days before the policy anniversary date

  • Click Create

MANAGING YOUR POLICY EVENTS

Managing policy events on NIC is very easy. 

  • Under the Life Policies link, click on the Notifications tab

EDITING AN EXISTING POLICY EVENT

  • Find the notification you would like to edit and click on the kebob menu under the Actions column (located on the far right)

  • From the drop-down click on View/Edit

DELETING AN EXISTING POLICY EVENT

  • Find the notification you would like to delete and click on the kebob menu under the Actions column (located on the far right)

  • From the drop-down click on Delete

  • Confirm that you would like to delete the policy event

EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS

Email alerts ensure users are informed about policy events.

​Emails are autogenerated by NIC and sent on days you set the notification for.

Once you receive the email, you will have to log into the NIC Distributor app to view the policy you have set the notification for.

IN-APP NOTIFICATIONS

In-App alerts inform you about new sales and service opportunities and links the user directly to the notification details.

  • From the top menu bar, click on the notifications icon
    (the number beside the bell (the notifications icon) indicates the number of notifications waiting for your review)

NIC automatically notifies your Agents when you share new sales opportunities.

NIC automatically notifies your Agents when you share a new document.

NIC automatically notifies you when you receive a message from your Agents. 

NIC automatically notifies your Agents when they receive a message from you as well.
